through 5 years of age without regard to race, color, sex, creed, ethnic origin, or physical challenge.
The number of children in each classroom is kept small so that children may enjoy a warm, personal relationship with our teachers. The Center endeavors to create an atmosphere which nurtures self-esteem through harmonious relationship with others and through the development of each child's range of interests and skills.
The Presbyterian Hospital Infant & Child Care Center, formerly known as The Advanced Child Care Center, was founded in 1984 by The Presbyterian Hospital as an expression of interest in high-quality child care for young children. In 1995, the Center moved to its present site and was incorporated as a not-for-profit organization. The child care center, owned by the Presbyterian Hospital in the City of New York, has its own Board of Directors. It is the responsibility of the Board of Directors to monitor all financial aspects of the program, to care for the physical plant, and to maintain high curriculum standards within the philosophical guidelines of the Center. It is the Board of Directors who annually review child care tuition rates and set tuition fees.
The Center is Licensed and monitored by the New York City Department of Health.
